The biggest update in The ARK’s history to date. New ways to run sessions, richer notes, player characters, safer sharing, and a pile of quality-of-life tools.
In-person / audio upload
Not running on Discord? Upload a recording of your session, assign players to voices in the recording, and The ARK handles the rest — the same summaries and notes flow you already know, anywhere you can capture audio.
Annotations
When Highlights populate, The ARK now extracts key details and parks them beside the main highlights: spells, monsters, NPCs, locations, and more at a glance.
Player characters
Create, manage, and retire PCs for your campaigns and sessions. Document character names, real-life names, and descriptions in one profile so summaries have better party context and fewer spelling / misattribution headaches.
PIN-protected shared sessions
Add a 6-digit PIN to shared session links so only people you trust can open the details.
Edit transcripts
Transcripts are editable — fix a name, clarify a line, keep the record accurate.
CSV exports
Export transcripts as CSV for whatever workflow you want outside The ARK.
New bot commands
- /ark switch — move the Ark bot from its current voice channel into the one you’re in.
- /ark stop — ask the bot to leave, mark the session ended, and start writing your notes without bouncing to the website.
Under the hood
- New transcription architecture for scale, fewer “ghost” transcripts, and better context.
- Internal tools for faster support when something goes wrong.
- Snappier live updates (polling → sockets).
