We’ve shipped a focused round of Compendium polish, sharing updates, and reliability fixes. This one is about making the information The ARK finds easier to scan, easier to approve, and easier to share with your table.
Updated Compendium view
We’ve heard from Compendium beta users that the Entries page could be easier to parse at a glance. The list has a refreshed design, and your most recently updated entries now appear as richer cards at the top so the newest campaign details are easier to spot.
Pin Compendium entries
Have an important recurring NPC, item, or location? You can now pin a Compendium entry to keep it at the top of your list as a DM and at the top of the shared Compendium link your players see.
Pinned entries display as richer cards, giving your most important campaign details a stronger place at the front of the Compendium.
Easier approval flow
The pending queue is easier to work through now. You can filter entry items and updates by status, and approval cards include more detail about how The ARK is thinking about your entries.
Those cards now give more context on why The ARK asked for approval in the first place, so you can make quicker decisions about what becomes canon.
Updated shared campaign and session views
We’ve refreshed the views your players see when they open shared campaigns and sessions, making those pages cleaner and easier to read.
Bug fixes
- Spells are spells, not items. In Key Objects and Compendium Entries, spells were sometimes marked as items. They should now be marked correctly as spells.
- Compendium entry images now work. Compendium images weren’t uploading for some users. They should now upload for everyone.
- More spelling and player-name transcription improvements. As always, we’re actively improving this. Names and misspellings should be a bit better in your sessions.
- Searching is now a bit faster. Scribe and the search bar can now find your information a bit faster.
- Third-person summaries. Some users reported sessions being written in first person, as if The ARK were a player in the session. We tightened this up so The ARK acts as a third-party narrator, never a player.
